Globalization is a relatively new term used to describe the integration of economies, societies and cultures across the globe. This integration involves that of language, and there is a growing opinion that in the future many languages will die out, resulting in the majority of people speaking the same language. Looking at the history of the world, it can be seen that many languages have not survived until today.
